The Story of a Passion Turned into Reality
My name is Larissa, the founder of Oholiba Beauty Hair, and my relationship with the world of hairdressing started at a very young age. At the age of 12, I was fascinated by the art of hairdressing, and it has never stopped inspiring me since. This is where my journey began.
At the age of 16, I was fortunate enough to work in a hair salon which opened the doors to the world of professional hairdressing. It was there that I acquired essential skills and perfected hairdressing techniques. I became passionate about the creativity and transformation that hairdressing could offer.
At the age of 17, I started doing hair for my friends and girls in my high school. It was a way for me to express myself and share my passion. I quickly realized how much a well-done hairstyle could boost self-confidence.
In 2012, I made a life-changing discovery: crochet braids. To me, it was a revolutionary technique that offered a multitude of unique and beautiful hairstyle possibilities. It was the catalyst that pushed me to further my skills and explore new ideas.
For years, I continued to do hairdressing alongside my work as a head hostess at France Télévision Publicité. It was an exciting but also demanding time. The world of hairdressing and the desire to be an entrepreneur have always been present in me, but the leap into entrepreneurship scared me.
In February 2022, something clicked . I decided to make my passion my vocation. I negotiated a mutual termination with my salaried job, despite the doubts and uncertainties that inhabited me.
Today, I am proud to say that Oholiba Beauty Hair has helped to style over 1000 women and give them back their self-confidence. This is an achievement that I cherish every day, because it means that my passion has become a profession.
